01.
Do I need to ventilate the room while the AC is working?
- Yes. Air conditioners only circulate and cool the indoor air. They do not supply fresh oxygen. The exception is special fresh-air conditioning systems.
02.
Can one AC cool an entire apartment if installed in one room?
- It depends on the layout. If the indoor unit is placed opposite the door to another room, the effect will reach there, but efficiency is usually low. The AC primarily maintains comfort in the room where it is installed.
03.
How often should the AC filter be cleaned, and how?
- Filters should be cleaned as they get dirty, not on a fixed schedule. Signs include reduced performance, strange odors, or water leakage.
Steps:
1. Carefully open the front panel of the indoor unit (usually upwards).

2. Remove coarse filters and take out fine filters (do not wash fine filters).
3. Wash coarse filters under running water.
4. Dry them on a windowsill – sunlight helps disinfect.
5. Replace fine filter (if still within service life – usually 24 months) and reinstall coarse filters.

04.
How often should AC maintenance be done, and what happens if skipped?
- Maintenance should be done every 6–18 months depending on the manufacturer.
Recommended: early spring, before the cooling season.
Skipping maintenance may void the warranty and cause excessive load on the system due to clogged outdoor heat exchangers and compressor overheating.

05.
Can the indoor unit be moved slightly without major costs?
- Unfortunately, no. Even moving by a few centimeters requires full dismantling, reinstallation, and often new refrigerant piping.
06.
Why does the AC gurgle when off in windy weather?
- The drainage system has no valves, so drafts may pass through the condensate hose. Solution: change airflow by closing/opening nearby windows, so wind passes through the window instead of the drainage system. Alternatively, you can install a special nozzle on the drain hose to prevent gurgling.
07.
What happens if I turn on the AC in freezing weather?
- Each AC has a minimum outdoor temperature limit, usually from –5°C to –15°C. Inverter models handle lower temperatures; some special units can work down to –25°C.
If run below the allowed limit, the compressor may be damaged, and such cases are not covered by warranty.
